Full repair of a hydroelectric generating unit is completed at TGC-1's Putkinskaya HPP

As part of the Power System Repair and Maintenance Programme implementation, the full repair of hydroelectric generating unit No. 2 of Putkinskaya HPP, the Kem HPPs Cascade's first plant which started developing and using power sources of the Kem River, was completed.

A great volume of regulated and superstandard work with complete disassembly of the hydroelectric generating unit was carried out to ensure efficient and reliable operation of the plant. Experts repaired the unit's turbine shaft and impeller and replaced their parts.

"Providing systematic repairs of hydroelectric generating units and overhaul of power equipment increases reliability of the plant. The hydroelectric generating unit was successfully put into operation after passing the acceptance testing for a period of 48 hours," Chief Engineer of TGC-1's Kem HPPs Cascade Vladislav Pankratov commented.

TGC-1's Repair and Maintenance Programme is aimed at providing safe and continuing equipment operation, improving efficient performance of power plants and raising the environmental safety.
